Our History

Bridge Street Inn Bed and Breakfast - View from the street showing front of building with wrap around porchThe Bridge Street Inn, formerly known as Baker Cottage, was built in 1895. It was a time when Charlevoix saw many resplendent grand hotels, one of these being the Beach Hotel. There were over a dozen cottages built to be used by guests of this hotel, and The Bridge Street Inn was one of these cottages.

Built by the Bakers, it was originally intended as their personal residence, but was also designed to accommodate vacationers needing lodging. Although the Beach Hotel no longer exists, The Bridge Street Inn carries on its historic character and elegant tradition.

We invite our guests to come and experience the history of Charlevoix, with the comfort of our modern rooms and amenities.
